The wavelength of Spectralase Elite has been upgraded from 810 nm to 980 nm. Studies prove 980 nm light is absorbed 6 times greater at the tissue surface with thermal penetration depth 5 times less than with the 810 nm laser beam.
Greater surface absorption results in more efficient incisions with minimal tissue charring.
Less thermal penetration causes less damage to the underlying tissue insuring patient comfort and superior healing. |
