| CALIBRATED POWER |
Spectralase wattage is calibrated by hand by a laser physicist.
The energy is paired between with the wattage readout and the laser tip to +/-2% accuracy for maximum control, patient comfort and safety. Non calibrated lasers are +/-50% at best! |
| ELITE PULSE MODE |
| GentlePulse delivers short pulses with a duration of 10 millionths of a second and an amplitude of 6-7 watts. These energy levels are high enough to cause coagulation of surface tissue and have bacteriocidal properties. Spectralase Elite automatically adjusts the pulse interval depending on the wattage setting. The self adjusting pulse will deliver an average power that insures patient comfort and prevents tissue charring. The average power of the GentlePulse mode is much lower than Continuous Wave or standard “old fashioned lasers” on/off pulses. GentlePulse is far superior to Continuous Wave. |

| FIBER MANAGEMENT SYSTEM |
| The fiber optic cable is protected from breakage by an internal connection. Many lasers have exposed fibers that are easily broken and cannot be repaired. Replacement vary from $295-$700. |

| For each new patient, simply trim 3mm from fiber with special provided scissors. No single patient tips that some lasers use. Single patient tips may cost $5-$9 ea or $7000 per 10ft fiber per 1.5 years. Spectralase fiber life is approximately 800 patients or 18 months for $295. |
